Information for new starters
Joining a new martial arts club can be pretty daunting, so we've tried to compile a list of the most common questions we've been asked by people wanting to join to try and help your joining us as smooth as possible.
What do I need to wear?
Jogging bottoms and t-shirt are fine to start with.
Am I fit enough?
Yes, it doesn't matter if you're super fit or completely out of shape.. we'll try and gear the lesson around your capabilities.
Do I have to bring a partner?
Not at all, loads of people come alone.. you'll soon get to know them.. but if you have a friend who wants to join you then even better.
Will I have to fight?
No. We do have sparring sessions four days a week, but they are strictly after the mainstream class has finished. This means if you want to compete you can, but if you don't then you won't be forced to.
And can I just turn up?
Yes you can just turn up to one of the scheduled classes and take part. But if you want to phone ahead to make sure the class is still on, then you can call me on 0775 1 22 99 31 and ask for Ross.
I've never trained before, can I still come?
95% who join the class have no experience in martial arts, and that suits us fine. We're more than happy to help get you or your children started in the wonderful world of martial arts training.
